Ten people were left injured following a bakkie and large taxi collided head-on, on the N11, approximately 5km outside of Middelburg in Mpumalanga on Thursday.
On arrival ER24 paramedics found that both the bakkie and taxi had come to a stop in the middle of the road.
ER24 Spokesperson Russel Meiring said “Some of the taxi occupants had climbed out of the vehicle and were walking around on the scene while others were still seated in the vehicle”.
He added: “All the patients sustained only minor injuries in the collision. And fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene”.
Paramedics treated the patients and were transported them to Midmed Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known.
