It started in January 2011. This is why: “I was working as a weapons engineer but I decided that what the world needs is more love and baked goods, and fewer weapons. And so I started BLNW. True story.

“Now I am no longer an engineer, but the name is here to stay.”

It’s some story. We love the pictures on the blog – they’ll have you salivating.

She loves cupcakes but bakes and blogs about a whole range of other culinary delights.

“These days I am a software developer, web designer, food writer and, of course, a baker.

“I live in Cape Town, with my amazing husband, my kitchen aid and my MacBook. Besides baked goods I also love tea, coffee, my friends, a good book, sunsets, mountains and Great Danes.”

We love the moustache cupcakes. Not only do they look awesome but there is also a personal anecdote behind them.

Diné says her husband will find any excuse to grow a moustache.

“Moustache March, Movember, Tache-tober, you name it – so he was pretty stoked with them as well.”
