South African Police Service (SAPS) and Crime Line are calling on members of the public to assist in tracking down the former boyfriend of the missing 27-year-old, Nandi Mbizane.
According to police the 30-year-old Zwelibanzi Kidwell Zungu’s was last seen in Vosloorus, Extension 3 on the East Rand.
“We are appealing to the community to help us find him. We believe he can help us in the investigation,” said Gauteng police spokesman, Brigadier Neville Malila.
Malila said that Mbizane went missing from her home in Centurion in early March and was last seen in the presence of her former and current boyfriend. Both men were arrested in connection with her disappearance, but were later released.
He said a close friend of Mbizane reported her missing after she failed to answer her phone and when she didn’t show up for work. Her flat was found in disarray and police reportedly found blood on the scene.
Malila is urging the public to pass on information regarding his whereabouts to Crime Line’s 32211 SMS number or by contacting Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
Head of Crime Line Yusuf Abramjee said that the public need to assist the police to find Zungu.
“He could provide information that may assist in this investigation and ultimately lead to police finding her; he said adding that the family is going through hell not knowing what happened to her or where she is.
“Imagine the pain and anguish of a loved one going missing. Do the right thing and help the police. You can pass on the information anonymously we don’t need to know who you are just help us find him”, he said.
