Police officers who go above and beyond the call of duty have been recognised and rewarded in Kimberley.

The station commander of Kimberley police station, Brig Dennis Fourie, announced the winners during its service excellence awards for the first quarter of 2012.

The awards are presented four times a year on a quarterly basis. The officers commended for outstanding duties rendered at the station each received a floating trophy, a certificate of appreciation and a gift voucher.
