A young contestant in France's version of the television reality show Survivor died suddenly during filming in Cambodia, the show's producers said on Friday.
Gerald Babin, 25, died after suffering a heart attack on the first day of filming in a new season of the Koh-Lanta show, TF1 channel and Adventure line production company said in a joint statement.
The filming was immediately suspended and the other contestants were being brought flown back to Paris, the statement said, adding the presenter and producers were "devastated".
Le Point news magazine reported that Babin had suffered severe cramps during a challenge.
A doctor managed to revive him after a first heart attack, the report said, adding he was then flown by helicopter to hospital in the port city of Sihanoukville, where he died.
