A man has been arrested after he was found with two of six Ford vehicles stolen from a Ford dealership in Phalaborwa.

The six cars were stolen at Phalaborwa Ford along Palm Avenue in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to the police, the suspects broke into the dealership and sped off in a white Ford Ranger WildTrak 3, silver Ford Ranger WildTrak, two white Ford Everest vehicles and two gold single cab Ford Rangers.

Provincial police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Netshiunda said the man arrested was found in the Tshenzhelani Village in Masisi.

Netshiunda said the police also found three more cars at the Limpopo River, which borders South Africa and Zimbabwe.

“The search for the remaining vehicle and more suspects continues. We hope to make arrests soon,” Netshiunda said.

Netshiunda said the police would not rest until the outstanding car had been found.

He said investigations were continuing.
