Manhunt launched for Limpopo business robbery suspects

Limpopo police have launched a manhunt after 20 suspected robbers allegedly shot at the police during a robbery at Modjadji plaza near ga Kgapane, Limpopo.

According to police, they got a call about a robbery that was taking place at the shopping centre.

Limpopo police spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said when they reacted to the robbery call, the police were shot at.

“One police officer was injured and a police car was damaged in the shootout, and those criminals fled the scene with unknown vehicles.”

Ngoepe said a dedicated Joint task team composed of various Police Units has been launched to look for the suspects.

He said at the moment, no one has been arrested and investigations are continuing.
