AfriForum has welcomed the decision of the ANC’s NEC to recall President Jacob Zuma from his position as the head of state.
The organisation said it will intensify its efforts to ensure that Zuma is prosecuted and made to account for what he has done during his tenure as president.
Afriforum CEO Kallie Kriel said the organisation will soon reveal its plans to make sure that he is held accountable.
“Afriforum will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the National Prosecuting Agency (NPA) prosecutes Zuma.”
He said should the NPA fail to prosecute Zuma, AfriForum’s private prosecuting unit led by Gerrie Nel will institute private prosecution proceedings.
