Northern Cape police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving after a truck allegedly crashed into a bridge in the Vaal River close to Windsorton.
It is reported that the triple trailer truck was transporting cattle when the accident occurred.

According to the SAPS Search and Rescue unit, it took the team two and a half hours to rescue the truck driver and his assistant from the wreck.
Some of the cattle were submerged in the water and others were saved.
The two victims were transported to a hospital in Kimberley.
