The registration process at the University of South Africa (Unisa) has been delayed, following disruptions caused by students wearing the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) gear.

The main gate leading to the campus has reportedly been closed.

Students are said to be outside of the Unisa’s Sunnyside campus and calling for free education.

The EFF has been calling on matriculants who performed well to report to universities after President Jacob Zuma’s surprise announcement on free education.

Unisa management said they are unable to comment on the matter yet.
